Claddagh ring

£112.00

Coming from the Irish tradition, the Claddagh ring was firstly made, according to the legend, by an Irishman who learned the craft of jewellery making while enslaved in Algiers. Once he got released, his master, having a great respect for him, offered him his daughter and half of his wealth. But the Irishman refused it all to go back to the love of his life bringing her the ring. According to another legend, a prince made the ring to prove his real love to a common maid.
Pick any legend you like. The sure thing is that the Claddagh ring is a symbol of friendship (the hands), love (the heart) and loyalty (the crown).

Polished to the highest of standards.
