Dragon ring

£255.00 £200.00

The origin of the word “dragon” has been traced to the Greek word, “derkein,” meaning “sharp-sighted one”, the “one that sees”. Indeed in many mythologies, dragons are the guardians of treasures and powers. However, even if the word was meant to describe a snake, it can, also, be seen to an extent as describing “the wise one”, turning the creature into an allegory of prophecy and wisdom. For the Chinese, the dragon is a symbol of wisdom, power and good luck. According to Feng Shui, seeing an image of a dragon can enhance a tremendous benefit in fame, reputation and career.

The Red Dragon, “Y Ddraig Goch” in Welsh, is also the symbol of Wales.
